About this event:
[21.10.2019] Three times winner of the Radio Academy’s Nations and Regions Award and in its seventeenth year of broadcasting, Resonance FM is a not-for-profit station which needs to raise cash to maintain its 24/7 service. Resofit, a fund-raising gala comedy night, will allow Resonance to continue to remain the “home of all that is wonderfully weird” (Miranda Sawyer, The Observer) and provide “all the sounds you never knew you needed to hear” (Robin Ince, The Big Issue).
The bill, shepherded by Daniel Kitson, sees the comedy underground mining upwards and onwards for independent arts radio. Joining Kitson on stage are Arnold Brown, Matthew Highton, Kuan-wen Huang, Elf Lyons, Jen Brister, Lewis Schaffer, plus a special guest to be announced.
Resonance has since its inception featured radical radio comedy from the likes of Stewart Lee, Paul Foot, Josie Long, Simon Munnery, Izzy Suttie, John Dredge, Kayvan Novak, Jessica Hynes, and Julia Davis.
Resofit takes place at Bloomsbury Theatre. Tickets can be booked here.
