This summer, Mayfair Art Weekend will showcase a vibrant range of contemporary art, sculpture and antiquities, with an event programme to include free and unique events open to all.

[dropcap style=”font-size:100px;color:#992211;”]T[/dropcap]his summer, Mayfair Art Weekend will be joined by internationally acclaimed galleries such as Victoria Miro and Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, institutions including the Royal Academy of Arts and a host of artists and artisans to showcase the vibrant range of contemporary art, sculpture and antiquities on view in Mayfair. The event programme will include a weekend of free and unique events, exhibitions and talks open to everyone.

The weekend will kick off with the Gallery HOP! on Friday evening, offering art enthusiasts the chance to attend private views, evening receptions, and in-store exclusives at some of the capital’s world-class galleries. Saturday and Sunday’s programme will continue with a series of enriching and lively events programmed by each participating gallery. Curated events will range from talks, tours and workshops to performances and will take place throughout the weekend. The full programme and the events hosted by each gallery will be announced in May 2019.

New for 2019, Mayfair Art Weekend will serve as the closing celebrations for a month of art and culture in Mayfair. Throughout June there will be the opportunity for galleries, fashion houses, luxury hotels, members clubs and restaurants to curate their own cultural experiences, continuing in the district’s tradition of showcasing the best of art and the artisanal. The Bond Street Windows Project and the London Festival of Architecture will also fall under this new month-long Mayfair initiative.

The sixth edition of Mayfair Art Weekend will take place on 28 – 30 June. For further information, visit the event website here.
