Offering a stereoscopic vision of how art and technology view the future, OGR Torino is offering two international exhibitions; Laure Prouvost’s We Felt A Star Dying  and  Electric Dreams curated by Val Ravaglia and Samuele Piazza. Both shows promise to take the viewer on an informative ride through the latest questions raised by scientific discoveries in quantum physics, AI, and their effect on art, culture and architecture.

Press Notes for Laure Prouvost: We Felt A Star Dying and Electric Dreams. Art & Technology Before the Internet

From 31 October 2025 to 10 May 2026, OGR Torino presents WE FELT A STAR DYING by French artist Laure Prouvost and the collective exhibition ELECTRIC DREAMS. WE FELT A STAR DYING by Laure Prouvost, commissioned by LAS Art Foundation and co-commissioned by OGR Torino, and ELECTRIC DREAMS. Art & Technology Before the Internet, organized by Tate Modern and OGR Torino, explores the relationship between creativity and technology from different yet complementary perspectives. Together, the two exhibitions trace a timeline from the pioneering artistic experiments of the late 20th century to today’s explorations of quantum computing and artificial intelligence, highlighting the international value of OGR’s program and cultural and scientific collaborations.

The exhibition Laure Prouvost. WE FELT A STAR DYING, curated for LAS by Carly Whitefield and curated for OGR by Samuele Piazza, first presented in February 2025 at Kraftwerk in Berlin, arrives at Binario 1 of the former workshops in a renewed configuration that resonates with the architecture and its history. The installation, the result of a collaboration between the artist, philosopher Tobias Rees, and scientist Hartmut Neven, founder of Google Quantum AI, explores quantum computing through a multisensory experience of images, sounds, and scents.

ELECTRIC DREAMS. Art & Technology Before the Internet, curated by Val Ravaglia and Samuele Piazza, lands at Binario 2. The exhibition spans over forty years of artistic experimentation at the intersection of visual art and technology, in the era before the widespread adoption of the Internet. It showcases the work of artists who explored technological modernity by appropriating tools originally developed in military or corporate contexts, using them to redefine collective imagery and provoke critical thought.

With these two exhibitions, OGR Torino launches its autumn season by delving into the dynamic intersections between contemporary art and cutting-edge technology. Embracing an international and multidisciplinary approach, it brings together artists, scientists, and institutions to explore the cultural shifts defining the present and shaping the future.
