The renowned Château La Coste is set to host a POUSH, the sizable European artistic incubator, bringing 35 artists to the palatial estate. Amazingly POUSH supports 270 resident artists so it’ll be interesting to see who is showing this year. And if nothing new takes your fancy there’s always the static works by Hiroshi Sugimoto, Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, Sophie Calle, Prune Nourry, and Tracey Emin to inspire.

Château La Coste’s invitation to POUSH in an encounter between two unique ecosystems: a Provençal vineyard shaped by the symbiosis of art, architecture, winemaking, and gastronomy, and the urban energy of a former perfume factory in Paris (Aubervilliers), where more than 270 artists from around the world work. Favoring the creation of works attuned to the vineyards and the Aix countryside, the 35 artists selected by Yvannoé Kruger and Margaux Knight explore the poetic and physical geology of the site. Each of them examines the landscape as a relational space, where forces, narratives, and memories converge. What does a place become when it is interwoven with the eyes and gestures of artists? What conversation emerges between architecture, landscape, and artworks? The exhibition embodies this plurality, where individual trajectories weave a collective and living fabric. Conceived as a series of chapters, each architect-designed pavilion becomes a space of encounter between the dynamic artistic scenes of Greater Paris, the land, and those who have shaped it.

About POUSH:
Founded in 2020 by Hervé Digne and Laure Confavreux-Colliex, POUSH is a space dedicated to fostering artistic creation, combining a vibrant hub with a network of artists’ studios. Now located in a 20,000m2 former industrial campus in Aubervilliers, it hosts a remarkable community of 270 established and emerging artists from over 30 nationalities.

POUSH provides its resident artists with workspaces as well as a comprehensive support program, including artistic direction, production assistance, communication, and administrative, legal, and tax support. Under the direction of Yvannoé Kruger, POUSH offers a distinctive artistic program that is freely open to all and features exhibitions, site-specific installations, and performances. Committed to serving the public interest, POUSH is supported by the ADLCA (Association pour le Développement des Lieux de Création Artistique), founded in June 2021. The association aims to develop and promote multidisciplinary creative spaces for artists and art professionals, fostering artistic initiatives within local communities while embracing an international perspective.
