[dropcap style=”font-size:100px; color:#992211;”]C[/dropcap]ombining a Mark Kostabi artistic chutzpah with the uneasy satire of Brass Eye, the Art Bastard Show leaves you with a nagging question deep in the straight-talking part of the brain.

Are you in on the joke, or are you the joke?

Destined to be to the art world what AbFab was to PR, it’s all good silly energy and we urge you to check it out.
Even if it makes us cringe a little for all the times we’ve been exactly the sort of gushy media outlet it’s drawing a bead on.

We are pleased to announce the launch of The Art Bastard Show youtube channel, a comedy showcase of the three ‘best’ artists in the UK and the curator that unites them.

We are launching the channel with an exclusive video of infamous feminist street artist ‘Vaj Graff.’ She explains the reasons behind her alleged vandalism of the Queen Victoria statue, Bristol. The art work caused quite a stir on social media and in the national press which polarised opinion but did anyone actually see it?

We will be adding new films every week focussing on very different artists from within the art world.

The artists are:

  • Feminist street artist ‘Vaj Graff’, a one woman powerhouse with an uncompromising attitude and a criminal record
  • Conceptual titan Toby Glass, known for his uber-minimal works fabricated entirely in masking tape
  • Vegan taxidermist Lily Rose, who represents the pinnacle of the nu-folk art movement
  • London taste maker Vicky Yentob, a curator, fashionista and the orchestrator of The Art Bastard revolution
