The Horse Hospital, Colonnade, London WC1N 1JD

[15.11.2019] Imaginary Solutions is an ambitious collaboration between Tokyo-based butoh dancer and martial artist Takahiro Tomatsu, and acclaimed London-based experimental music ensemble ARCO, led by composer and performer Neil Luck.

Butoh, a form of Japanese avant-garde dance, is exquisitely pinioned between traditional and contemporary philosophy and art forms. Imaginary Solutions, set to take place in one of London’s most idiosyncratic independent venues, aims to fashion strange new tools for strange new futures via the exploratory physicality of butoh and the weirder underside of experimental music.

Imaginary Solutions is part of the  Japan-UK Season of Culture and will be performed at The Horse Hospital on 15 November, where performers will also hold a free, open rehearsal on the day at 16:00. Book tickets for the event here.
