[dropcap style=”font-size:100px; color:#992211;”]T[/dropcap]here are many ways to distress a Fender Stratocaster.

Rory Gallagher left his in a house fire, Jimi Hendrix brought the fire onstage.

Adding to the corpus tomorrow is noise artist Dave Austin, in a performance exhibition called ‘De-Strat-Shun’ at the Victoria and Albert Museum (September 28th) from 19:30 hours.

In short it’s a noise experiment involving the destruction of a Fender guitar and resultant sound from that destructo/creative process.
