Make Better Music 22: Ask yourself smart questions, and make smart decisions. Lessons in music composition, song writing, artistic motivation and making better music from David Graham.

Everything that we do is the result of a decision that we’ve made.

Often we make those decisions instinctively (on autopilot?). The creative process is just a string of decisions and questions that you ask yourself: “Should I use this sound or this sound?”

”Is this version of the track good enough, or does it need more work?” along with thousands of others….wake up to this process and take control of it. When you stay on autopilot you are letting Lady Luck take the wheel, and I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have a license, let alone insurance.
I’ll say it again as it’s an important one: The creative process is just a string of decisions and questions that you ask yourself.

Wake up and take control of these decisions and ask yourself the smartest questions you can. this way you’ll set yourself up for success – as well as focussing on what results you want, and finding ways to achieve them.
