Loitered Lens: Sharks @ King’s Cross Station

Scenes from King’s Cross as Sharks bring the Ya Ya Pop to London

[dropcap style=”font-size:100px; color:#992211;”]C[/dropcap]ar crash Supergroup Sharks commissioned the D2D Dance Company to create a choreographed routine for the ‘Ya Ya Pop’ track from the band’s forthcoming Killers of the Deep album.

The band and 20 (multi generational) dancers added some colour and chords to the main concourse of Kings X station on Saturday the 24th of September. Those in transit on the day had no idea that they were to be both entertained and instructed how to do the Ya Ya Pop. From the savvy, there were startled reactions and big smiles.

For the hapless, shuffling amongst the studded belts and tat of the King’s Road in search of Instagram moments with plastic punks, too bad. UK rock royalty was waiting for you just a few stops down the Picadilly Line.
