Loitered Lens: Anabella’s Bow Wow Wow & Ed Tudor Pole

Photos of two eighties icons unlikely to crop up on safe pop nostalgia tours

[dropcap style=”font-size:100px; color:#992211;”]A[/dropcap]nabella’s Bow Wow Wow, wedge-point of an angular 80s indie art pop punk.

A newer wave sparking off an electro aesthetic which grew and grew (partly via the in-house production chops of a certain Mr Horn at ZTT) into a shocktroop avant garde that gave Grace Jones and Claudia Breuken their angry swagger and still leaves a discernible residue on, say, the Lady of Gaga.

And that’s not even touching on the piratical charm of Tenpole Tudor, represented on the night by Ed Tudor Pole.

Photos from their recent gig at the Garage (August 20). We’ll leave you to guess which is which.
